Established in 2011, the Grimsby Stormers were a rag-tag bunch of desperados who created a new Grimsby team – not good enough to make the local teams, but desperate to play hockey. Years later, with grit, determination and plenty of beating they won it all in the IHSC. To this day they’re still taking on beginners with the same mantra they were founded on – if you pay, you can play.

Formed in the Summer of 2018, the Shropshire Huskies are a brand new recreational ice hockey team for this season. We recruited our roster via open trials in September which brought a lot of talent from all over the region into the club. We now find ourselves fortunate enough to be able to ice both an A Team and  B team.

Our Club runs with the mentality that rec hockey to a lot of us is Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, and that’s OK!

In other words, just because we’re “beer leaguers” does not mean we can’t develop our game, be competitive and put the effort in. Although… we’re still down for some beers along the way!
